What the AEP actually is
The Alternative Entry Pathway is a BCA initiative, developed with MOM, that allows new Construction Work Permit holders with relevant overseas work experience, training and/or vocational certification to enter Singapore in lieu of passing the SEC(K) test. A further General Competency Assessment (GCA) route targets higher-aptitude workers with English competency.
What qualifying looks like
- The employer actively selects the worker - firms take ownership of recruitment
- The worker has real construction experience, at home or on international projects
- The worker holds recognised vocational certification from an accredited institution

Stage 01 – Select & Contract

Stage 02 – Train at Source

Receive progress reports.

Deliver trade, safety and worksite English training against your job scope.
Stage 03 – Assess & Certify

Receive assessment results and certification.

Run documented practical assessments and compile the AEP entry file.
Stage 04 – Permits & Medicals

Appoint a licensed employment agency (yours or one we work with).

Coordinate Work Permit and IPA processing with the licensed EA and track medicals, bond and accommodation documentation.
Stage 05 – Arrive & Deploy
